Custom Panels	Meter Management Units

SHM can supply Northern Design or Carlo Gavazzi meters ready-fitted in custom panels or in sealable enclosures (Meter Management Units or MMUs).

All connections are made to DIN-rail terminal blocks, simplifying installation and ensuring that the meters are correctly wired up.

Custom Panels

Custom Enclosures DIN Panel meters wired up and fitted in steel enclosures. You can see examples of our Meter Panels in the SHM Projects Gallery. SHM can supply small quantities of enclosures fitted out with meters, fuses, circuit breakers, isolators etc to the customer's requirements.  Please contact us for a quote.

Meter Management Units (MMUs)

Easy-to-install meters with terminal blocks, fuses and optional test terminals.

SHM can supply Northern Design and Carlo Gavazzi meters mounted in a sealable rugged enclosure known as a Meter Management Unit or MMU.  The MMU can be mounted on a wall, or panel surface or top.

The MMU includes meter fuses and a neutral disconnect link - essential  if no fused meter supply has been provided and the meter must be connected direct to the busbars.

All connections are to DIN-rail terminal blocks inside the unit.  Wiring access is via conduit knock-outs.

 Optional shrouded voltage reference sockets can be provided to allow easy connection of a portable power analyser for checking/testing.  The power analyser's clip-on CTs are used to monitor the current, and the analyser readings can be cross-checked against the meter readings (the supply being metered must have a load connected).

Optional CT shorting links can be provided to facilitate meter servicing.

	MMU1C (Standard Width) Provides voltage fuses and neutral-disconnect links.  Both 3-phase and single-phase units available. Optional shrouded voltage test points. Optional CT shorting links. Model shown is MMU1C3-P-T. Click on the thumbnails for full-size images.
	MMU2D (Wide) As MMU1C but with space for either two PR303-V meters, one meter and an additional 6-DIN unit (typically a Modbus interface module) or various other combinations. Model shown is MMU1D3-P-T. Click on the thumbnail for full-size image.

Example - MMU1C1-T  is a 215mm wide box, wired to a single phase meter with CT shorting terminals.

-P	Voltage Test Socket option :- For MMUnA & MMUnB these are L1/L2/L3/N protected voltage test sockets under the flap for use with shrouded 4mm test plugs. For MMUnC & MMUnD these are  L1/L2/L3/N colour-coded cap-protected voltage test sockets on the side (L or R)  for use with shrouded 4mm test plugs.
-T	Current Terminal Option.  CT terminals and shorting link terminals.
-T-P	Both Current Terminal and Voltage Test Socket options.
